As if we didn't have enough pictures of our cats already!

Something every cat owner loves, without fail, is taking ridiculous pictures of their fluffy felines. If anyone tries to tell you otherwise, they're lying to you. It is one of the best purrks of having a cat: taking pictures of them sleeping in silly pawsitions, dressed up in funny outfits, or literally doing anything. To be honest, we don't even need a reason. We take pictures of them all the time, just existing.

But, there are those rare occasions when you invest in getting a purrfect portrait with them, and Christmas is one of those times. Our cute cat dad below has made it part of his family tradition to take a pawsitively ridiculous portrait with his ginger feline every year, and promptly send it out as their Christmas card. He's been doing this for eight years in a row! You might think that he would have run out of ideas by now, but that's where you'd be wrong! He's done everything from Furrmula 1 to Indiana Jones, and British purrlaiment members to meowrvelous monks.

We're not sure if he goes to a purrfessional photographer to get these done, or if he does it all himself in Photoshop, but if he does go to a photographer, it must be the most fun day ever. Can you imagine setting up a photo set like this all for a picture of a guy and his cat? It's so ridiculous that you can't help but giggle at how heartwarming it is. When we say our cats are our children, this is what we mean!

The production value of these photos are incredible. If that flare is real, that cat is purrfectly chill. Our cats would never get that close to a flame, especially one that big. If the flare isn't real (which it likely isn't), then the fact that they thought to put a red light from the side to replicate the glow of the flare is purrrre genius. Maybe we'll start doing this with our kitties! Although we already have enough trouble getting them into their Halloween costumes as it is!
